Sustainable Construction from Corbel

How can we help you

Corbel Conservation Ltd have a really sensible approach to helping you with your plans to save energy, reduce your fuel bills, do your bit to save the planet or reduce your carbon footprint.  -

It’s all about listening to what you what to achieve, assessing your building and what can be done with it and then advising you impartially on what you can do and what you should do first to achieve your aims.

Corbel doesn’t start form the angle of selling you any particular bit of equipment or material, like sheeps wool, solar panels, a heat-pump, PV panels, a new boiler, wind generator or whatever.

The big advantage of that is that we will tell you what can work best for you, even if that‘s not very glamorous or doesn‘t make us much profit.

We’re also different from the advisers who tell you what you should or could do, but have no practical experience in doing it or can’t give you the costs or what the down-side might be.

Instead we offer to :

  1. Find out what you want.
  2. Do the building assessments.
  3. Come up with options.
  4. Tell you what the costs would be, including grant options.
  5. Show you the benefits.
  6. Go ahead and implement the systems and changes you choose.
  7. Maintain them on an ongoing basis, if you wish.

We aim to make sure you get the best advice to choose the right system and best materials to achieve optimum performance from your property and create a healthy, efficient building to live or work in.

If you already know what you want and just need a provider you can get on with and trust to give you a highly capable service, we pride ourselves on our reputation and ethical professional  approach.

Our construction services are available for both new-builds and the refurbishment of existing structures. We have extensive experience with applying modern thinking appropriately to the most sensitive historic buildings.

Our sustainable construction division can build you everything from a modern construction eco-house to code 5, through straw-bale extensions or offices, to a full-blown rammed tyre earth-ship with compost toilet and reed-bed drainage.

The following pages provide an over-view of the options we can make available to you and the priorities to consider in order to achieve your desired savings in energy and for carbon reduction...
